SuperPowerCam is built so that your video never leaves your computer. This page explains the little data we do handle: your email if you give it to us, your order and your licence key.

What the app collects

Nothing about you. Gesture detection, effects and the virtual camera run entirely on your PC: no account, no cloud processing, no telemetry. The app can make exactly two kinds of network request, listed below, and nothing else: no image, no recording and no other identifier ever leaves your PC.

• The licence check: when you paste a key, then at most once a week, the app sends your key and an anonymous fingerprint of your computer to our licence server, so that a key can be tied to two computers at most. The app keeps working when the server can't be reached.
• The version check: at launch, the app fetches a small public text file from this site to tell you when a new version is out. It carries no personal data, and you can turn it off in the settings.

What the website collects

If you request the free power or sign up for news, we store your email address and the language you chose. We use them to send the download link and to announce new powers. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Purchases go through Stripe, which collects your card and billing details on its own pages, under its own privacy policy; we never see your card number. We keep the email you used at checkout, what you bought, your licence key and the computers it is activated on (as anonymous fingerprints), to deliver the key, provide support and process refunds. Right after a payment, the thank-you page asks our licence server for the key tied to that payment; the lost-key page sends only the email you type in.

This site may use privacy-friendly analytics (page views, country, referrer) that set no cookies and do not identify you.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, correct it or have it deleted. Write to hello@superpowercam.com and we answer within 30 days.

Data is hosted in the European Union or with providers covered by EU data-transfer safeguards.
